Decent machine, software needs work
I ordered the xTool M1 Desktop Laser along with the RA2 Pro Rotary Attachment. The ordering process was straightforward on their website. It arrived in two separate packages, a few days apart, which was a little confusing at first but everything showed up intact. Setup for the M1 was fairly easy, though the instructions could have been clearer on some parts of the rotary setup. The laser itself works well; I've used it on some plywood sheets and slate coasters with good results. Quality seems solid for the price. My main gripe is the xTool Creative Space software. It's functional for basic tasks but lacks some advanced features and can be a bit clunky. It froze on me a couple of times, making me restart my project. Support was responsive when I had a question about material settings, which was a plus. Overall, a good entry-level machine, but be prepared for a learning curve with the software.
Good for the money
I picked up the xTool F1 Portable Laser for engraving small items on the go. The delivery was quick, and the packaging was robust. The F1 itself is a neat little unit, very compact and easy to use with the app. It engraves metal business cards and tumblers really well. My only minor complaint is that the battery life could be a bit longer, especially for a portable device; I often have to keep it plugged in for longer sessions. But for the price and portability, it's a solid buy.
Got my D1 Pro quick
Ordered an xTool D1 Pro a bit ago and it got here faster than I thought. Packaging was really good, no dings or anything. Setting it up was pretty easy. Been using it for some smaller projects and it's been doing great.
